ADAM-6060

This article describes how to connect the ADAM-6060 device to the FORXAI Mirror.

The Advantech ADAM-6060 is a part of the ADAM-6000 series, which consists of Ethernet-based data acquisition and control modules. These devices are used in industrial automation and remote monitoring applications.

The ADAM-6060 is a digital I/O module that features:

Six digital input channels
Six relay output channels
Ethernet connectivity for network-based communication and control

The ADAM-6060 is designed to be easily integrated into various industrial systems to facilitate remote data acquisition and control tasks. It supports protocols such as Modbus/TCP, which are commonly used in industrial settings for communication between devices. This module is often utilized to monitor and control equipment, machinery, and other industrial processes over a network.

Connect ADAM-6060 to Mirror

To connect ADAM-6060 to the FORXAI Mirror, follow these steps:

Connect the ADAM-6060 to your local network.

The ADAM device must be connected to the same network as the Mirror.

Do not connect the ADAM device directly to the Mirror.

Connect a laptop or computer to the same network as the Mirror before proceeding.
Open a web browser and enter the address of the Mirror:

Your systems administrator will know the IP address of the Mirror.

Click the FORXAI Video Vision tile to access the Video Vision platform.

The Video Vision platform runs the operational FORXAI Mirror project.

Do not modify any settings beyond those specified in this manual, as unauthorized changes could cause system failures or disrupt functionality.

Log in using your administrator credentials.
Open the FORXAI Mirror project by clicking View.
Go to Deployments.
Click Stop to stop the deployment.
Click the Reset button.
Go to Devices.
On the ADAM device, click the three-dot menu, then click Edit.
Change the IP address to the address of the ADAM device in your network.
Save your changes by clicking Edit.
Return to Deployments and click Start to start the deployment again.

Your ADAM-6060 device is connected and the FORXAI Mirror can now control it.
